This post is to let other photographers know about a contest they may want to enter.
The contest is sponsored by BackYardShots, and gives you a chance to win a Tamron 70-300mm lens. Submission deadline is December 30th.
I entered an contest earlier this year (HERE), and I took home The Gold (figuratively speaking). This contest is in a similar vein, and so I thought “Hey! Those shots did well before! How about I reuse them?!?“ I am quick, that way.
Unlike the other contest, which used a maximum of eight shots to tell a story, this one uses only three, and it has to be in a TripTych (a set of three photos in one “frame”). Still, I have high hopes. Well . . . maybe just moderate hope. Here is my entry.

Triptych Entry to BackYardShots Contest
People have seen this series before, both in the post linked above, and in the longer post specific to Tree Swallows of 2012 (HERE).
Like I said; this is mainly to inform photographers who follow my blog about the contest. If you are such, and you do enter, please let me know. I would love to see your entry . . . especially if it beats the pants off of mine. I promise to cheer for you, and not be jealous.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me some recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so. I will decline nominations whereby one blogger bestows an award onto another blogger, or group of bloggers. I appreciate the intent behind it, but I would much prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way. That would actually mean something to me.
Should you still nominate me, I will strongly suspect you pulled my name at random, and that you are not, in fact, a reader of my blog. If you wish to know more, please read below.

. . . my FP ward . . . chieken shit.

Good luck… I do like those birds!
Thanks Sandy. I don’t really need the lens, so I feel bad about entering, but on the other hand, this is likely a more competitive contest, and I’d like to see how the photo does.
Reblogged this on Living and Lovin.
Beautyfull photos.I like flying birds!
Thanks. The earlier swallow post has more photos, and also videos.
Not to push my stuff, but if you like flying hawks, lots of those in many posts.
These are great photos so best of luck to you.
Thanks . . . like I said, I want to know, and it’s not likely to happen, but I will feel a tad bad if by chance I happen to win. I’m sure others out there have use for that lens.
Good luck you should have no problem as long as the judges like baby bird photos as much as I do.
I think people like kittens more, and of course, any infant playing with a roll of toilet paper (clean toilet paper, of course).
But thanks, I appreciate the support.
lets hope the luck (winner) flys your way.
